Our brewery is proud to offer one of the most unique selections of craft beer not only in New Jersey, but all of the Tri-State Area. Departed Soles is one of the only brewery’s crafting beer with tradition ingredients, such as barley and wheat, as well as options with 100% Gluten Free ingredients, fermented in dedicated fermentations vessels. Below is a selection of beers that we brew in our Jersey City brewery throughout the year, many of which are served in our Tasting Room any given weekend!

A Dark Night

Gluten Free Cascadian Dark Ale • 5.0%

A Black IPA designed to taste like a Black & Tan shaken up… Hoppy, Dank, Resinous on the nose, Malty and Roasty on the back end. Rotating availability in colder months.

DGoodbIPA: Four My Homie

Gluten Free Floral & Citrus IPA • 6.0%

Light, floral, and citrusy IPA that is brewed with 5 different varieties of hops and dry hopped with 2 varietals. Available most months.

New Jersey Ninja

Gluten Free Honey Blonde • 4.9%

Our GF Blonde ale is brewed with organic, gluten free buckwheat, millet, oats, and malted rice, along with NJ honey and green tea, for a light, non-hoppy alternative for gluten free craft beer consumers, while having increased malt character from the new gluten free grain base. Rotating availability.

Rick Rolled-Oat Coffee Stout

Gluten Free Session Coffee Stout • 6.0%

A twist on our original Chilltown Collaboration beer; brewed with buckwheat, millet, and malted rice, along with lactose and cold brew coffee extract, designed to taste like a black coffee. Rotating availability in colder months.

Bumper Hops

Gluten Free NEIPA • 6.1%

Yeah, we went there. Didn't we have to? Gluten Free Oats, buckwheat, millet, and malted rice put together with a heavy handed, late addition focused hop bill of the tropical variety produces a super lazy, citrus and fruity IPA. Rotating availability throughout the year.

Philoso-Rapper

Belgian Ale • 8%

A hybrid between a Belgian Tripel & Belgian Blonde, this beer has the esters & spices of a Tripel but is light, less phenolic, and sweet, like a traditional Golden.

Modern Cup of Sole

Coffee Beer • 4.9%

Brewed in conjunction with ModCup Coffee in Jersey City, reminiscent of a light, dry stout with added punch. The end result is a coffee forward craft beer with minimal bitterness and a light coffee kiln and chocolate malt backbone, along with some milk sugar sweetness. Availability skewed towards colder months.

Cantankerous Blonde aka "South Ward Ale"

Honey Blonde Ale • 5.4%

We teamed up with the Viking Army Supporters of the NY Red Bulls to brew this lighter, semi-sweet tailgating beer. The result is our honey blonde ale, which starts off with honey derived sweetness and rounds out with a bready, malt finish. Available most months, with some gaps in winter.

Playoff Beered

Crystal Rye Pale Ale • 5.6%

A combination of pale, rye, and crystal rye malts, with pine and floral from the hops, brewed for the New Jersey Devils! Available most months, focused on Hockey Season.

Northeast Style IPA • ABV Varies

A full bodied IPA grain bill, plus a famous English Ale strain, which rotates hop varietals and addition methos to emphasize their impact on a bas beer.

Jersey City Flavor Unit

Northeast Style IPA • ABV Varies

A take on our Island Gurl grain bill, with varying hops added in the same time intervals, and rotating yeast selection.

Deuces

New England Double IPA • 7.4%

West Coast meets East Coast in our Double IPA, featuring a subtle yeast haze, rich fruit forward flavor, similar to mango and grapefruit, plus a well balanced bitterness on the back end.

The Nuggy Monster

Hoppy, Rye Saison • 8.5%

Brewed to be a whopping 8.5% with a touch of Rye for sweetness and oats for body, plus a Monster hand of Nugget hops for a touch of bitterness. Rotating availability in Spring and Summer.

Island Gurl

Milkshake IPA • 4.8%

Named in tribute to the Statue of Liberty, and brewed with lactose and coconut, she is easy drinking, hoppy, cloudy, and delicious. Rotating availability throughout the year.

Konstantine

Kolsch • 4.8%

Not your typical Kolsch Beer. Ours features a smooth, slightly fruity flavor up front from the hops, and rich breadiness on the back end. Rotating availability in colder months.

Red Headed Step Brewer

Amber Ale / Red Ale • 5.8%

DSBC's twist on a Red Ale, featuring Caramel and Chocolate Malts, resulting in a darker color and pleasing aroma with minimal hop bitterness. Rotating availability in colder months.

Powerhouse Pale Ale

Farmhouse Pale Ale • 5.9%

A balance between a strong malt backbone and a funky ale yeast, once through to be a brett strain, and bombed with a plethora of varieties of hops.

Trust Fun Baby

Saison • 6.1%

A more traditional saison, brewed with sorachi ace and lemon drop hops.

Ghost of Pumpkins Passed

Pumpkin Spice/Fruit Beer • 4.5%

Even Gluten Free folk deserve a seasonal beer, and GOPP is the first of its kind! An amber ale base with real pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and nutmeg combine to produce a delicious seasonal that tastes so much like a #DefinitelyNotGlutenFree Pumpkin Ale, it is downright scary. But it is 100% Gluten Free!

Cran-bury Kolsch

Kolsch/Fruit Beer • 4.7%

A fall seasonal brewed to pair perfectly with our favorite excuse to eat too much food! Light, clean, and clear, with a hint of Cranbury, so you can save some place on your plate for something else.
